Under the rules, the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) allows international students who have completed an eligible program at a designated learning institution (DLI) in Canada to work in the country for up to three years.
Who Is Eligible?
Not all international students studying in Canada qualify for the PGWP. Various factors influence eligibility, including the Designated Learning Institution (DLI) you attend, the program you choose, the length of your program, and any unofficial breaks taken during your studies. To be eligible for the PGWP, students must have studied full-time in Canada in a program at least 8 months long, completed at a DLI, and obtained a transcript and official letter from the institution confirming program completion.
